EMT celebrates 100 years and becomes Royal EMT
In 2026, EMT celebrates a special milestone: 100 years since the official founding of the Zeeman family business. What started in 1913 with grain mill De Hoop in ’t Zand has grown into an international machine manufacturer for the fertilizer industry supplying more than 650 project in over 85 countries.
Over the years, EMT has transformed from a local feed and fertilizer business into a global supplier of blending, bagging, coating and transport equipment. Today, our machines are operating in more than 85 countries worldwide. This transformation was an important step in the history of the company.
By focusing on innovation, international markets and customer specific solutions, EMT was able to continue growing while remaining a true family business.
In the same anniversary year, EMT received a very special recognition: the Royal designation. This is a rare distinction in the Netherlands, granted by His Majesty the King to companies and organisations with a long history, a strong reputation and an important position in their field. It is not something that can simply be requested or expected. The designation is only awarded after careful assessment, making it a unique and meaningful recognition of 100 years of entrepreneurship, continuity and reliability.
For EMT, becoming Royal EMT is a great honour. It reflects not only our history, but also the commitment of all generations, employees, customers and partners who have contributed to the company’s development over the past century.
With the fifth generation now active in the company, Royal EMT remains focused on the future. We will continue to develop reliable and efficient machines that help our customers produce, handle and process fertilizers in the right way, all over the world.
