A state-of-the-art Urea treating, NPK blending, sieving, and coating line for Atena in La Rochelle-Cedex.

In the first quarter of 2023, EMT successfully installed a state-of-the-art Urea treating, NPK blending, sieving, and coating line for Atena in La Rochelle-Cedex

At EMT, we know that a lot of factors need to be taken into consideration for a factory line like this. The most important factor that should be taken into consideration is the characteristics of the raw materials and the required specifications of the final product. For this project, these characteristics and specifications meant there was a need for two different production lines at the start. Moreover, the desired production capacity plays a vital role in designing a production line, and in this project, a double sieve Urea-line was chosen to achieve the target capacity. By utilizing a double sieve configuration, the sieving process is no longer a bottleneck, enabling the production line to operate at a higher capacity. The successful installation of this state-of-the-art production line is a testament to EMT’s commitment to delivering high-quality solutions that meet their client’s unique requirements.

Urea-line and NPK-line

The line is divided into two parts: the Urea-line and the NPK-line, come together in the final blending screw.

The Urea-line begins with a Weight monitored 10.5-ton hopper that distributes raw materials using a 3-way valve to the two sieves to divide the good material to the blendscrew, or it can distribute the raw material directly to the blendscrew. Liquid can be added at the blendscrew and then transported to the transport-part. The NPK-line starts with a four-hopper weighcont that distributes the material into an elevator. After the elevator, the material can be divided with a 2-way valve directly to the transport-line or, if the material is too rough, to a sieve where the good material is transported to the transport line.

Sieving, Transporting, Big bagging or Bulk

The two lines meet at the transport line starting with the sieve where a big bag discharge unit can add additional material onto the sieve. After this, the material is transported to a blendscrew where liquid can be added.

Finally, the product is transported to an elevator that will transport the material on a transport conveyor that will further divide the material into the big bagging machine or further into the factory’s bulk storage.
